Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Adhyasan, Savitribai Phule Pune University, had organized a lecture on 'Reforms in Labour Laws and their Impact on Workforce - Dr Ambedkar Perspective' by Adv Aniruddha Koyande, Advocate, Bombay High Court and Industrial & Labour Court. In his speech,  Adv. Koyande reviewed the era from industrial revolution to global recession and stated that labour laws need to be changed as per the changing times for the welfare of organized and unorganized labour sections. The Chairperson of the programme Dr Vilas Adhav, Professor And HOD, Economics  Department, SPPU, presented the Vote of Thanks. In his speech, Dr Adhav stated that in the present process of social convergence, numerous differences and disputes are being created and encouraged between castes, creeds and social groups. However, the only group that is being disadvantaged in this process is that of economically weaker citizens. No dignity is being given to labour of any nature, in any field such as business and education. Therefore,  it is essential to bring such estranged sections into the mainstream development.
